Maserati aims to keep its models fresh and stylish with the launch of Edizione Nobile packages for the 2019 Ghibli S and S Q4, Levante S and S Q4, and Quattroporte S, S Q4, and GTS.
Nobile models build on the foundation of the S GranLusso trim level, which emphasizes luxury as opposed to the speed-favoring GranSport. Maserati denotes Nobile models externally with a new-for-2019, three-layer Blu Nobile paint, whose blue is deeper than that of the Marianas Trench. It pairs with 20-inch alloy wheels, which encapsulate silver brake calipers.
Because they're based on the GranLusso package, Edizione Nobile models have some of Maserati's best-appointed interiors. Maserati again reminds drivers that they're in a limited-edition vehicle with a Nobile badge mounted on the dash, in case they somehow forget from the comfort of the front sport seats, which are typically exclusive to the GranLusso's foil the GranSport. These seats are trimmed in two-tone Pieno Fiore leather, and can both heat and cool the behinds of their occupants. The rear seats get heating too, but not ventilation.
The Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans contrast the leather with high-gloss Rovere wood, while the Levante crossover gets a woven metal net on some hard surfaces. Pinned to the roof is an Alcantara headliner, and echoing through the cabin will be music from a Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Also included is Maserati's semi-automated driver safety assist package, though it is erroneously presented as "autonomy" despite the fact that no cars today can boast true autonomy of any sort.
All of the vehicles with the Edizione Nobile package feature a Blue Nobile exterior, which is a deep shade of cobalt. They also ride on 20-inch wheels, and the silver brake calipers behind them offer a bright contrast to the dark body.
The interior of the models with the Edizione Nobile package feature leather-upholstered sport seats with black bolsters and brown centers. The chairs up front have heating and ventilation. The rear bench is warmed, too. A badge identifying the vehicle as part of the special edition appears on the center console. The only feature differentiating the various models with the Edizione Nobile package is the trim. On the Ghibli and Quattroporte high-gloss Rovere wood adorns the cabin. The Levante gets pieces with a metallic woven effect.
All Maserati Edizione Nobile models receive Alcantara headliners, a Bowers & Wilkins ultra-premium surround sound audio system, and Maseratis very own Level II Autonomy Driver Assistance Package. Before you get excited about the prospect of your Maseratis driving by themselves, shelf those expectations for a second. The tech package largely revolves around driver assistance safety features, including highway assist system, 360 surround view camera, lane keeping assist, active blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, forward collision warning plus, traffic sign recognition, and pedestrian recognition. Its not exactly autonomy on the level that some of you are hoping for, but the sophistication of these safety systems is more than you could ever ask for from Maserati.
