Elegant in style and composure, the Levante GTS has been tested around the world through extreme conditionsacross desert and ice. It is the next evolution of the Maserati SUV, built around one of the most powerful engines ever fitted in a Maserati: the mighty 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that, until now, was reserved for the flagship Quattroporte GTS. With the unmistakable voice of a Maserati V8, the Levante GTS accelerates to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. This is raw powerwith refinement.
While every Maserati achieves a balance between exceptional performance and uncompromised luxury, the Levante GTS sets a new benchmark. This assertive, 550 hp V8 SUV is engineered and meticulously tuned for superior performance, long-distance comfort and driving pleasurethe enduring principles of Maseratis grand-touring philosophy.
The chassis was tuned to better handle the extra power, and while the suspension shares the same components as the rest of the Levante line, the tuning was changed for the GTS and Trofeo.
The Sport Skyhook adaptive damping system was also retuned, while the air springs feature six different height levels spanning a total of 3 inches from its lowest to highest position. A rear-biased all-wheel-drive system and a rear limited-slip differential are included. These mechanical updates are largely shared with the Trofeo, which differs visually and features extra luxury equipment.
Outside, the GTS features a larger lower air dam, a special black-trimmed grille and 22-inch wheels. Inside, there's a full-leather interior package and carbon fiber trim. That includes the shift paddles, which are carbon fiber rather than metal.
A long list of appealing features sweetens the deal for potential buyers, including standard adjustable air suspension, sport pedals and a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system (a Bowers & Wilkins system is available as an upgrade). All seats are heated, as is the steering wheel, and interior surfaces all come clothed in a range of fetching premium leathers.
Drive is to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic, rear limited-slip differential, and rear-biased all-wheel drive. In normal conditions as much as 100 percent of the drive torque is routed rearward. This can be swapped to a 50:50 split in as little as 150 milliseconds.
For the interior, the designers attempted to create a distinctive look for the GTS. Extra leather in combination with Alcantara is used throughout and is available with contrast stitching.
All seats, as well as the sport steering wheel are heated, while the front seats are also ventilated. And the redesigned instrument cluster graphics resemble a chronograph dial and are inspired by Maserati's racing heritage, underlining the sportiness of the GTS.
An 8.4-inch touchscreen display serves as the main infotainment hub. The system includes HD radio, Bluetooth, satellite navigation and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is also standard, as opposed to the eight-speaker system fitted as standard on lesser Levantes.
Every Levante is designed and built to provide world-class levels of safety and security, a top priority for Maserati.
An available Driver Assistance Package equips Levante with a range of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems that offer greater peace of mindwhether youre on a grand tour or a dash through the city.
